FLY BY NIGHT services overview

To assist our clients, we employ an experienced and friendly office staff, with convenient 9:00am to 5:30pm office hours. Upon calling or inquiring online, the client will receive a price quote and an informative package mailed that day. The disc jockey biographies detail the individual personalities of each disc jockey.


Showroom demonstration

Once you have had a chance to get aquainted with our company, you will be offered the opportunity to schedule a complimentary showroom demo. The office staff works closely with each client to match them with the appropriate disc jockey providing the exact characteristics that are desired. They will lead you through each important planning detail:

  1. With our Event Questionnaire and Planner we will help you organize the sequence of events you wish the disc jockey to announce. Furthermore, you will be able to express all of your needs and concerns regarding the coordination of your event with our representative. We take great care in "custom tailoring" the music and entertainment to YOUR needs.
  2. Every client is guaranteed their 15 MOST IMPORTANT SONGS, handled by our in-house Music Director. Plan out the music you want the disc jockey to play. Check off your favorite songs and artists from our song list and let us handle the rest. We are fully licenced disc jockeys with nearly 100,000 titles available.
  3. Discuss the disc jockey qualities that are important to you. Disc jockeys can be seen on video in our office or while performing in the field at public locations. To view Disc Jockeys on location, call the office on the Wednesday before the weekend that you would like to view.

The Music Director is available in person or over the phone for any musical questions the clients may have. The FLY BY NIGHT staff is experienced in helping plan the musical details for special ceremonies, receptions, bar and bat mitzvahs, theme parties, and any event where dance music is the entertainment of choice. An extensive music collection is updated frequently which includes the hottest hits in every musical genre imaginable. From dance and rock to alternative, country, oldies, swing and jazz, there are selections for all musical tastes. The song list is updated semi-annually and is not a full representation of the vast music library we have at our fingertips. If you are looking for something special, just let us know. The Music Manager has access to a full archive of musical history and has been purchasing the latest hits on a weekly basis for the past twenty five years!


Equipment

We offer the latest in state-of-the-art DIGITAL MUSIC systems. They are maintained and tested by our Equipment Manager before they are delivered to any function. In addition, we have a manager on duty during ALL performances, with the ability to send back-up equipment immediately.

FLY BY NIGHT sound systems are professionally-designed units with all of the components necessary for exceptional sound quality. Each sound system is thoroughly tested by the Equipment Manager each week. All systems contain 2 Mini Disc units and a CD player. A mixing board/preamp, equalizer, amplifier, microphone and powerful, professional-level speakers are included to enhance the equipment presentation. Highlights include a stereo continuous power output of 250 watts per channel at 8 ohms, and professional-level components from such major vendors such as JBL, QSC, American DJ, Sony, Denon, BGW, Yamaha, Mackie & Shure.


Your event is coordinated behind-the-scenes

We make event coordination easier by assisting our clients with all of the appropriate planning details. These details are then confirmed by our Operations Manager two days before the function. All of our client interactions are logged in our computer network, assuring excellent follow-through.

When a booking is secured with FLY BY NIGHT, our office staff then contacts the location of the event by mail to inform them of the date and time of performance, the dimensions of the space requirements, and to request a table for the disc jockey. The Operations Manager then assigns a customized system depending upon the number of guests and the size & characteristics of the room (eg.the presence of stairs). On the day of the event, the disc jockey and technician arrive approximately one hour before the scheduled start time (more setup time available upon request). The console, disc jockey area, and music collection require about a six foot square area. The system is set up and tested, then the disc jockey changes into appropriate attire and begins final preparations. The technician is always available by mobile phone, and there will be an office manager on duty.
